My chess piece I am creating is a good pawn, I have decided to create a snowman. I chose a snowman because you make snowmen in the snow and I love the snow. The white of the snowman reminds me of goodness, hence the reason I chose the snowman as a good pawn. A problem I encountered is creating the arms and nose and having them stay attached in the kiln. When my snowman was in the kiln, it was set a little too close to another one of the chess pieces and a part of it stuck to my snowman. When I glazed my clay over, I missed a few spots, that was a problem. Overall, I am happy with my snowman. It turned out well enough to meet my standards and nothing broke off of it in the kiln. I thought the hat wasn't going to turn out well, but it did.
